Perpetual Energy designs and builds renewable solutions embracing all technologies. Each project is unique, and should be able to draw on the broadest choice of renewable options; thus we believe that being tied to particular products and manufacturers inhibits best practice. This is why we feel our independence is one of Perpetual Energy's greatest assets.

We have a dedicated product team which keeps up to speed with new renewable energy developments, and establishes framework agreements with the manufacturers we anticipate working with. In all cases we will specify equipment that has a demonstrably successful track record.

Perpetual Energy has extensive knowledge of product providers across the main renewable energy technologies - wind, solar photovoltaics (PV), solar thermal, ground source heating (GSH), biomass, combined heat and power (CHP), and micro hydro. These close links with manufacturers and suppliers - balanced with our independence - enable us to select the most appropriate systems for every scale of project.

As renewable technologies tend to be more expensive than traditional plant, an important part of the design process includes the financial modeling of capital expenditure consistent with our clients' preferred model, such as NPV or IIR.
